The Still Point
Center For Zen Practice

This page is updated regularly, so check back often to find ways to support your meditation practice.
Kind Reminders:
The mind is used to moving rapidly from past to future; from identifying something as a problem to spinning out possible solutions. If we ask the mind to quiet the mind, it will bounce from one idea to another about how to do it.
Sink into your body. Find the sensation of the breath entering, then leaving your body. You will notice a moment of pause at the end of the inhale and at the end of the exhale. Let your attention rest on this second pause. Now you are here, present and aware.
When the mind wanders, return to this still point at the end of your exhale. That is all.
