Day of Meditation: Labor Day, Monday, Sept 6.

Morning session: 9:00 - 12:00

Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 4:00

Many of us feel limited in our daily lives to 20 - 30 minutes of meditation, squeezed into a busy routine. This day of meditation offers you the experience of breaking free from this limitation to see what emerges as the hours pass. Moving beyond “just getting through,” one meditation, you will have time to practice returning to this perfect moment, over and over again. If you’ve never done an extended meditation before, this would be a good way to begin.

Each session, morning and afternoon, will begin with Qi Gong to stretch and relax the body and brief meditation instructions. Meditation will be 20 minutes of sitting, alternated with 10 minutes of walking. At 4pm there will be the option of remaining to share reflections on the experiences of the day.

If you choose to do both sessions, please bring your own lunch and plan to eat in silence somewhere near the Still Point. We will have an ice chest available. Tea, water and light snacks will be available throughout the day.

Offered on a donation basis.

If you have questions, or to register please contact us at  343-5535 or stillpointchico@gmail.com

THE STILL POINT will be CLOSED September 11 - September 19

SUPPORT YOUR PRACTICE WHILE WE ARE AWAY

There will be no classes or meditation times at The Still Point from Saturday, Sept. 11 through Sunday Sept. 19, while Bill and Nancy Martin are on a 20th wedding anniversary vacation.

This does not need to be a break from your practice. Make a commitment to yourself about how much time you will spend in meditation each day. Then watch what arises for you as you seek to keep that commitment and find ways to support the one in you who really values this practice of waking up to the moment.

For extra support, visit the “Resources for Practice” link on The Still Point website. There you will find kind reminders for supporting your meditation and hints on how to check in with the wisdom and compassion of your heart.

We will resume the regular schedule of classes and meditations on Monday, Sept. 20 with morning meditation at 7:30am. We will look forward to seeing you then.
