The Tao of Caregiving
How To Care For Another Person and Not Lose Yourself In The Process

In our world of seeming dualisms, the natural desire to love and care for another person is set over against the equally natural desire to care for and nurture oneself.

What if this dualism is completely false?

What if it is possible to bring acceptance
and compassion to another person’s life
without abandoning our own life in the process?

What if, in fact, accepting ourselves
and our moods, desires, and  frailties
is the only way to truly care for another person?

Join Bill and Nancy Martin as they facilitate an exploration of the dynamics of caring relationships.

Bill and Nancy Martin teach at The Still Point, Center for Zen Practice, in Chico, CA. Bill is the author of several popular books on Taoist/Zen practice including, The Parent’s Tao Te Ching. Nancy directs Zen Compassionate Care – an intensive volunteer training program that brings compassion and awareness to caregiving situations.
